Size of a product
The dimensions of each product are located normally alongside the product description. Please note that the dimensions and weights are approximate and indicative only. Actual weights may vary by up to 10% depending on the nature of the product and design.
Images/Photography - Whilst we do our best to represent our products accurately on our web site, please bear in mind that there might be slight variations as a consequence of photographic techniques and lighting. Any illustration of a product or description of size, dimension, style, weight etc. is given in good faith, and cannot be guaranteed as absolutely correct.
We send out an email acknowledgement automatically right after you have placed an order. You should also receive another email as soon as the item has been dispatched from our office. Please make sure that you have entered your details correctly so there is no risk of your failing to receive these notifications. Make sure that order confirmations do not get routed to your spam/junk folder.
Order verification/security checks From time to time orders may be subject to security checks, which can cause delays in order processing. Such security checks may mean we need to contact you. Should we be unable to reach you using the contact details provided it might delay the dispatch of your order.
Insuring Customers own products It is important that customers have adequate insurance for their own personal items on which they ask Argent to undertake work. Argent will always do it's best to protect property but can not be held responsible for any loss or damage however sustained.

Secure payments We use secure encryption, World Pay and Paypoint.net to handle transactions, so all transactions are completely secure. We do not see your card details unless you provide them to us personally. In no circumstances do we retain personal card details.

All our engraving is undertaken professionally by hand. As a general rule we do not machine engrave. We can engrave initials, words, dates and normally logos or crests. Engraving of logos or pictures is undertaken by agreement.. Please ask us for more information.

Normal UK delivery
All orders received before 3pm are dispatched normally the same day. Our standard method of delivery in the UK is via Royal Mail. Items under £40 in value are sent 2nd class. Orders between £40 and £100 we send ‘Signed For’ 1st class and anything over £100 is sent ‘Insured Special Delivery’. We offer a guaranteed before 1pm next day and before 9am service, as well as a guaranteed Saturday delivery for orders received before 2pm. This service is available at modest extra cost for all orders. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC PACKAGES ARE TAKING LONGER TO DELIVER. ROYAL MAIL HAVE SAID PLEASE BE PATIENT.
Receiving orders. Please note that where appropriate parcels will need to be signed for in person. Make sure that the delivery address, either home or work, is one where you are available to receive your package. If you are not present the Royal Mail will leave a card advising they have called and provide you with the address from which you can collect your package.
International dispatch. Argent has customers outside the UK in many parts of the world and can ship to many parts of the world, including most of Europe, North America (Canada & USA), Australasia & Japan. For other locations please contact us. Our standard method for sending orders outside the UK is to use Royal Mail's International Signed For service. We can track all packages up to the moment they leave the UK. Thereafter they are the repsonsibility of the receiving postal service and thus are outside our control. Customers are responsible for paying all local taxes and/or import duties.
We can help you track your order if you wish. If your package is too large to fit through your letter box or you happen not to be in when a signature for receipt is require, the Postman should leave a card stating he has called and advising you from where to collect your package. Note that personalised, special orders can not be returned, this includes engraved items and all non standard products. For health and hygeine reasons we are unable to refund or exchange pierced earrings, unless they are faulty..
